The environment is very important to us, and we are keen to ensure that the manufacture and use of our products promotes the sustainability of the Earth’s resources. Whilst our Pulley Maid provides an elegant alternative to the tumble dryer, helping to reduce household carbon emissions, we ensure all our components are manufactured to the best possible standard, using traditional techniques.

Our pulley maid comprises of solid cast iron components, powder coated and finished in a colour which is consistent throughout. Our pulleys are genuine cast iron and NOT steal plated imitations, which are stronger, more attractive and last longer.

Our wood is purchased as a raw material from a leading UK retailer, who themselves are FSC certified, ensuring that the long-term well being of the forests are taken into account. This is then cut to size in our own workshop by skilled carpenters who apply a four rounded edge and manufactured these laths with our rack ends in mind.

These ethics are also extended to our environmentally sensitive packaging, which does not contain harmful materials such as polystyrene and minimizes the use of cardboard where possible.
